It was my 5-year-old son who wanted to give this title to my painting, and I found it perfect because 'On the Mermaid's Trail' is an open-eyed journey in search of the magic accessible only to children. Yet, someone tries to find its traces, to chase it: one day, perhaps, it will let itself be touched.
